The Nelda Mundy Community Association, often referred to as the MCA, is made up of all community members with a student at Nelda Mundy Elementary!
The MCA Board strives to create a fun, engaging, and supportive environment for our school.
Our main purpose is to fundraise to support our students, teachers and staff; as well as plan community events to drive connection and support.

As we close another incredible school year, the MCA would like to extend an enormous thank you to everyone who supported Nelda Mundy throughout the year - from your generous donations and local sponsorships, to joining us at the Mundy Mixer and on campus events, you all made this a year to remember!
Thanks to the generosity of our families and community, we reached our goal to upgrade classroom technology and were able to help outfit grades TK thru 3rd with Promethean TVs - the latest technology in interactive classroom displays. In addition to classroom tech, this year’s budget supported a number of on campus programs like Sami’s circuit and Accelerated Reader, as well as additional support for our Teachers and staff to help create positive learning environments for our kids.
Beyond fundraising, this year was also filled with unforgettable memories and community spirit. From the inaugural Welcome Back Picnic, to the Family Dance and Ice Cream Social, we loved seeing our students and families come together to connect, laugh, and build friendships. These events are what make our school community so special, and we are grateful to everyone who attended, volunteered, and helped make each event a success.
Finally, I want to recognize and sincerely thank our sponsors for their generous donations and continued support of our school. Your partnership helps make so many opportunities possible for our students, and we deeply appreciate your commitment to education and our community.

Fundraisers
The MCA raises money to support Nelda Mundy students, teachers and staff through annual fundraisers and is supported by the generous donations of our community. The Move-A-Thon is our biggest fundraiser of the year, supporting 90% of our budget, with additional support from our biennial Auction and other raffles throughout the year.
We work directly with the administration and teachers to identify needs, with recent funds going toward an outdoor classroom, privacy fence, soccer goal, bike storage shed and other campus improvements.
Community Givebacks
Creating an inclusive, welcoming and safe place for our Timberwolves and their families is part of our mission. Over the year we host a range of events to bring our Timberwolves together - including the Trunk or Treat, WinterFest, Family Dance, Safety Day, Talent Show, and more.
The MCA is driven by a board of 10 members who meet monthly to plan fundraisers, identify school needs, and execute against the MCA mission.
